The Search for Leadership

Product Code: MT0621
Every organization and business has been searching for leadership throughout the ages. Without constructive leaders there can be no growth. Today mediocrity and a "don't care" attitude is the norm. Everywhere untrained workers are turned loose on an apparently uncaring public. "Leaders" aren't leading. Teachers aren't teaching. Workers aren't working. An overabundance of lawyers are filing frivolous law suits for people seeking something for nothing. Unthinking juries willingly give away other people's money. LEADERSHIP, or the lack of it, is the subject of The Search for Leadership. It is one man's attempt to define the deterioration of leadership during the past four decades. The Search for Leadership goes further; it attempts to offer solutions for the decline in the ambition needed for excellence. It offers solutions, not merely for the Freemasonry it addresses, but for every organization. A knowledge of the principles of management are essential today more than ever before. So is an understanding of human beings, for it is through others that leaders accomplish what must be done. The leader can accomplish little without an understanding of communication, planning, goal setting, organizing and controlling. The Constructive leader must have a perception of human behavior, and must be able to empathize with those who work with him. He must know why organization breaks down, why there is confusion in the organization, and how to control the action by using a velvet touch rather than an iron fist. An important mission for the Leader is developing the leaders of tomorrow. He must learn to surround himself with "giants" and not "pygmies." He must learn the "yes men" are a detriment, that the road to growth is to encircle himself with people who know more than he does. The Search for Leadership will go a long way towards helping the reader on the road to become a Constructive Leader. Hard cover, dust jacket, 240 pages.
